This is Lodha’s humble offering to the city of Mumbai. Instead of creating a usual park, as per our company DNA we went the extra mile to create a park which pays tribute to Mumbai’s rich cultural heritage while contributing to the city’s green spaces. The park has been designed by renowned architect Mr. Aniket Bhagwat, who has also designed various common spaces within the development.
Mr. Bhagwat has taken inspiration from various chapters in the history of Mumbai to design the park interiors. For example, the entry gate has names of the old cotton mills with numbers against each. Within, there is an idealized map of Mumbai with numbered markers which gives the placement of each of the numbered mills. Similarly, to pay tribute to the Hanging Gardens of Malabar Hills, there is an elevated deck area which is perforated on purpose to give the sense of flowing greens. Every area of the Linear Park speaks about historic locations that define Mumbai like the Dadar Flower Market, Marine Drive, Mahim Causeway, Mumbai Port Trust, Oval Maidan, the Bandra Fort and a lot more.
